Falmouth Shaker Kitchen

This kitchen was designed for a new extension on a property near Falmouth, Cornwall. The style is a Modern Shaker, but the addition of traditional handles creates a juxtaposition between a timeless classic kitchen and contemporary design. The clean lines of the Shaker cabinetry are softened by the more traditional details, giving the room a relaxed and characterful feel while retaining a fresh, modern aesthetic. The main kitchen is painted in Little Greene Inox, with the island picked out in Aqua Blue to create a subtle contrast and give the centre of the room a stronger focal point. All the cabinetry is topped with a Cosmic White worktop, bringing the different elements together and adding a light, contemporary finish. Designed and made specifically for the space, the kitchen combines practical storage with carefully considered details to make the most of the new extension and create a welcoming room for both everyday use and entertaining.
